    Default b21a1

So its time to throw another motor in my beater and i was looking around trying to findout the best route to go $ wise considering the car is just a, a-b car any thought on which way is less cost effective ? swap motors, go back with stock, rebuild 1 in it?? and its in a 91 prelude.
I check sluts off my list like a maintnence man
I drive a low is3 just so it gives me a reason to drive super slow on these rough ga roads.

depends on your goals for the car longterm a h swap is rare for this car but can be done easily the b21 you have in there are easily found at most junkyards pulla part as ive seen them first hand mostly around 125k to 221k so you may have issues and you may get lucky and it run like a champ

B20a is a good motor. It's an easy swap (from what I've read) from a b21 too. It makes a little more power and you can buy them online for pretty cheap. I don't know what your range is though. I'm sure you can get a really dependable one in your car for well under a grand.

Dunno... maybe someone with a little more know how can confirm.

From what I know about B-series motor, B21A1 is the worst motor to build. I might be mistaking but B-series parts aren't interchangeable with B21A1. Do more research before you buy it.

B series parts are not compatible with the b21a1 or the b20a (and anything in USDM 3rd Gen Preludes)... They're considered predecessors to the B series. So yeah like ^^ says. Be careful with that.

I dont want to build it. I just want a reliable motor back in it because it is my dd. And if it came down to it i would rebuild the stock motor but id rather not.
