Default need help with an electrical issue/fuse box

So about a year ago I bought a volts gauge and I connected the power to the fuel pump fuse by wrapping small wire around it since it would supply constant voltage wen ever I turned the key. Well just a couple days ago I noticed the volts gauge wasn't working any more so I looked and saw that the problem was that fuse had completely melted and burned the plastic. The wire I had wrapped was wat kept the pump from turning off since it bridged the fuse plugs together. Now the wire is coming lose and the car frequently turns off due to no fuel or doesn't turn on at all. I can't take off wats left of the fuse inside were it goes and I'm unsure of wat to do. Do I need to buy a whole new fuse box that goes under the dash or how can I take off the fuse inside?

if needle nos epliers, a screwdriver, and a pick do not work, then yes, you have to buy a new fuse block.

or, you can wire the fuel pump fuse in separate from the fuse block with a fuse holder.

there are plenty of open spots on the fuse block that supply power only with the key on... use one of those next time.
You're right - I have no idea what I'm talking about...
