    Default 1985 Accord CArb

    hi guys,
    i have a problem i have an 85 accord and gas is in the carburetor, every time i start it up it will run but after a while it will idle funny then shut off. What should i do??

    i would hope there is gas in the carburetor...

    but it sounds like you may have a vacuum leak.

    There is gas in it, but it will over flood the carb.

    Funny, I have an 85 carb'd hatch that's sort of does the same thing.

    Seems to me like my electric choke motor isn't working correctly. Check to see if yours is doing the same thing?

    Probably needs the carb rebuilt. its probably leaking from a gasket not flowing over the carb.
