    Default 88 ef wont start

my 88 ef hatch wont start with the switch, and wont jump with batt cables or jump box the only way that i can get it to run is to push it off. it has a d16 swap in it .and a odyssey battery am changing the battery in the morning to see if that well help .but the reason that i have not changed the battery before now is i need the tray for the stock battery .if this dont work i need help with other things it could be thats making the car not turn over with the switch

alot of people forget the ground wire from the frame to the trans that will cause your problem. also the switch is bad about going out in those cars. guess they have been cycled to many times

i just got done grounding my car better and it's really sad there are like 2 of them and they get very neglected, and if the tranny ground is gone it won't start, at night you might see some sparks though. also if the starter is bad it may make one or two clicks and if it's gone gone no noise at all'

i am pretty sure it is the starter, but pull it and put some power to it... that way you can be sure if it is the starter or not.

there is a way to check it, if it's not that then your problem is elsewhere.
