looks nice. Could use a wash! bump
Call or tex (678)431-515eight
clean and clear title in hand!
Mileage:body 182K engine has about 65K
Engine:JDM F20B (iron sleeves, nor reinforced carbon like h22s, sounds a bit nicer than h22s)
Condition: it's a car from 1998 not 2008, from far it looks good but up close you can see some scratches here and there, nothing serious
Old h22a4 started knocking, (like most h22a4s that came in all 97-01 preludes, i paid a little more for the f20b because i like it over the h22 because it has cast iron sleeves instead of fiber reinforced that H22s come with, and these dont knock like the h22a4 that came in this gen preludes) I got a deal on a car i wanted more; so now this one has to go . Swap professionally done (was not cheap.) I have only seen 1 f20b swapped bb6, i tried to buy it from the guy, he was not having it lol, he loved his f20b. No check engine lights or anything; looks VERY stock, passes emissions with no problems, Interior is real clean. car gets great gas miles, brand new clutch, drives great , its my DD
Extras that will come with the car: (no im not parting anything out)
-New OEM style front bumper
-Set of GROUND CONTROL coilover sleeves already installed on stock struts
-Vis carbon fiber hood (expensive) clear coat pealing a bit
-Brand new front upper control arm, the ones on the car are fine, I just got a deal on these
-Spare SH tranny +Tranfer case if you want to sell separate
All that for $4500, or the car alone for $4000
Bad: car is from 1998 not 2008, the body needs work, a few scratches here and there, minor pdings here and there, it's a good 10footer, from 10feet looks good but when you get up close you see the imperfections, the car used to be an SH model (dont ever buy and SH, they are super hard to work on), so i had to swap tranny along with engine,(SH tranny shifted perfect, you can have it also if you want it). This F20b engine is bulletproof, there have been a lot of people asking to buy just the engine but im not parting out the car, buy the whole thing and you can take out the engine and put it in whatever car you want. ps pump is acting up but have a new one to go with sale if it's not installed before sale
you view, you bump, i rep
Im in the Gwinnett area

It's not the speed that kill's its the sudden stop at the end.
a little more info on the engine
This engine series was used in the CF4, CF5, CF9, CL3 Honda Accord and Honda Torneo from Japan. It uses a DOHC VTEC cylinder head similar to the H22A found in the Prelude but was designed to comply with many countries' sub-2.0 liter tax. The automatic transmission versions received the lower hp version (180 hp), as it was tuned for more mid-range torque than its manual transmission counterpart. The F20B manual version also utilized stronger cams, intake and throttle body from the H22 type S. The difference between f20b manual (200 hp) and auto (180 hp) is cams, intake, throttle body and the gearbox for manual come with t2t4.
Accord SiR wagon, SiR-T F20B 97-01 2.0 L
Valve train: four-cylinder, DOHC VTEC, 16-valve
Bore: 85.0 mm
Stroke: 88.0 mm
Displacement: 1997 cc
Torque: 145 lb·ft (197 N·m) @ 5500 rpm
Horsepower: 197 hp (147 kW) @ 7000 rpm
Red line: 7400 rpm
Fuel control: OBD-2

throw some serious offers ia, VERY solid car here, it has nice oem sound by the way, ther rear speakers say something about "acoustic" something, but i have to say it's the best oem sounding speakers i have heard
Bump...always wanted a prelude. Its acoustic research....great OEM speakers.
Want a B16a EJ coupe?? Its got a sunroof....
thanks for the offer, but not thanks, yeah i always wanted a bb6 lude too, im enjoying it right now, i may lower it soon, but with my other car being so low i like the stock height of the lude lol

thanks for the bump, ill post better interior pics later
nope, it's just been my comfy DD, got a carbon fiber hood for it. Why what's up?
got some 06+si wheels for it, o shet
Bump - I'm looking for a prelude - but looking for stock, the F20b is better matched to a lighter car still unique though!
And did this used to be a SH? It has all the right parts..
the f20b moves this car a bit better than the H, and it's made better so it will last longer than the H, recently i pulled up close to like 2 bb6 at lights and they were both knocking lol, and you know your preludes, yes it used to be an SH (shift knob and wheels) :-) i still have the SH tranny/transfer case if someone wants to turn it back into an SH lol, i would not, SH are a b***h to work on and they not even worth it
I would say thats surprising, but you said its a relatively young JDM motor, so thats not surprising. It's not the first time I've heard of an f20b going into a BB6, but its not the most common thing. I'll second that comment about SH's being a pain to work on. It doesn't require personal experience to know that something like ATTS is going to be a biznatch to work on. After it goes out, it's almost impossible to repair, and becomes dead weight. Bump again for a clean looking Lude.

yeah, these engines only came in heavy cars, accord wagons and so forth, Honda did not put them in integras/civic for a reason, it's too heavy for them
^^ have to disagree...
Not too heavy. Torque is a beautiful thing.
'82 TE72 SR5 Sport Coupe
so just wondering,
what is it like?
i thought the lude needed that extra tq?..
how does it pull with the f20?
it pulls VERY good, i mean it's the same crap as the H, just built better, the engine is healthy and low miles so of couse it's going to pull nice, i chose to spend a bit more for the F20B over the h22 because i have always liked this particular engine and the walls are iron, so you have a VERY good foundation for just dailying or build it for NA or boost, no need to send the block off to be sleeved. Let just say this guy has a bunch of money and he chose to go with the F20B for his bb4 over the H, and from what i can tell the internals of the F20B is still STOCK.
With a little bit of money you can get the engine on steroids like this one, but im not looking to put the car on steroids, right now it's just a stock quiet daily that i dont have to worry about the engine knocking or all the crazy crap that those a4s do
^big mikes car^
i wish i had never sold my lude...
i like it!! take my teg lol
