you have a set of halo projector headlights like the ones you can get off of ebay.. then NO.... you will melt them.. regardless if you got the from ebay or not. the plastic they are made of cannot withstand the heat produced from a H.I.D. kit... i also know from a personal experience, well my friends car anyways.. i told him it would happen he didn't listen and he did it anyways and it melted them.. but if your car came stock with them then yes they should be able to hold the heat and not fuck up...

i mean like street speed said....plastic might melt i'm not too sure about that....never had plastic housing. but for the projectors.......i put s2000 hid's in my dc2 and the stock halogen projectors sucked....light output wise. there was alot of "hot spots" and dark spots. So i got merecedes c class hid projectors and retroed them in there. after that the light output was nice and even

lol i ment to say certain types of plastic will melt... most cars come with stock plastic housing.. but they can handle the heat... and alot of after market head lights can not

start up the heat is higher than halogens b/c the hid bulbs need to warm up... reason why you see a color shift when you turn them on... but once the light is at to the temp it's unning on less volts and less heat than oem... so there is a chance of melting...

is this aftermarket projectors or oem?
reason why i ask is that if it's aftermarket projectors if i were you swap the projector housing with an oem HID projector like the s2000/audi tt, etc... and use a d2s bulb with a d2s bulb wire harness to your aftermarket ballast... that way you get an OEM projector look, but also the brightness on the road... if you do that don't go over the 4300k oem bulbs... or you will lose the lumans aka brightness...

it would be ideal if you let us know what you are using... and for what car...

no you can try using them but it will prolly melt them.. but what you could try doing is getting the inside of a headlight from a car taht come stock with projectors then retro fitting them then install
