It is a part of the exhaust system. If you get one that is bigger than stock, it will reduce back pressure. Most cars will get a bump in power.
yeah, it will help eliminate some turbo lag
down pipe is a differnt kinda of smoking pipe. when you smoke out of it, it gives you a downer instead of an upper
