    Default Chevy Truck Guys

    Ok im thinking about buying a truck and i want your opinion on this one

    Chevy Scottsdale (not exactly sure what year it is)

    *New Goodrich 350 crate motor

    *10" lift w/ front and rear leaf springs and single pro-comp shocks

    *Granny gear 4 speed manual

    *20" Weld beadlockers w/ 44" tires

    *New Brakes

    *New clutch

    *Body is in awesome shape for its age

    Is this truck Worth $9500-$8500????

    sounds like a good deal to me. I'm a big chevy guy even though I own a dodge
    The only gripe I would have would be the 4 speed tranny. Not much for gas mileage. If you have the funds later I would probably go 400 or 450 turbo tranny (can't remember which it is sorry). It's suppose to be just like the turbo 350 but with overdrive. Good luck man

    ok i know alot about chevys so here we go.....find the year out, short or long bed, body shape good or bad? check for rust in the rocker panels (trucks are bad about rustin those out), the granny gear tranny is good for mudding from what ive heard, ^ i wouldnt go with a TH400 (turbo 400) no overdrive either to my knowledge, a rockcrusher tranny maybe be a future upgrade but the granny gear will be fine unless you plan on doing some serious pulling or serious torque but you wont be making with a crate 350, any more questions just ask me
