well i want a track bike. and i found this guy that has a cbr600 but it doesnt have a title or anything on it, he said he got it from the police, the question is can i just right up a bill of sale for the bike? cuz its only going to be for the track?

and the sec question is how much should the bike sell for ? with out a title. its a 04 with 6k miles.

    thanks!

well depends, if you're taking it to WERA or AMA you need a clean title ti participate. Anything else, just go ahead and ride it as it is. You have no problem there. But to be safe ask for a bill of sale and you'll be alrite.

Honestly? Well put it around he ball park of mid $3000s, depends on mileage and condition of the bike. Umm, how much did you spend the bike for? I mean if you got a deal off the bike, save up, get a new frame.

yeah im looking for a bike myself and id advise not to buy unless it has all papers even if its just for track or tell him to file for the title then yull buy it after you see paper work. but as it is good engine and parts 3k sounds good for that year.

2200??? hah! that's awesome. Just get a surety bond on the title. $200 piece of paper work though, and you'll have to contact the department of revenue. Anyway, give those guys a call and ask to title bond your motorcycle. Though, you'll need a police man to run a VIN check on the bike, is the sticker on the frame? Have a police man run a check on the motorcycle, then from there send the title bond. You'll have to wait for a couple of week maybe months to finally get a result from them.

Hopefully you'll have yourself with a new title.

That or just buy a new frame off e-bay. That's probably the sure fire way really, and it takes probably less time, depending if you're going to drop the money on it.
