Dodge neon's
Are they really as good as hype? i go to a mexican majority school and there are 2 unbadged grey/white neons. they both have blacked out lights and are manuel. they make a noise when they shift, but i was pullin with them in my accord today and they didnt seem to be crazy fast
thats be cause they are slow probally as slow as your accord

Because they are poor and want to be cool. The noise when they shift is probably a head stud lifting. Why do you put time into your accord?
neon's are slow
i don't. i keep it stock. i just want it to look nicer. thinking of lip + rims. but these guys seriously everyday after school sit around and rev their engine, burn out and stuff

Mine wasn't so slow. They were actually #1 in their class in higher HP and running. Mine won 2 SCCA championships. They respond much better to minor mods than Civics and other cars. They just aren't reliable. Cheaply made, too. I finally got tired of fixing mine all the time so I said fuck it. Lolol. Later, QD.

im not saying SRT-4's are slow. i've read up on em, ect ect. but is it even worth touching (because i know these kids didnt get srt-4's) if its below that.
i think hes asking if neons are really as crappy as his accord and if they are he is wanting to know why there is so much hype about them, well heres your answer, there is no hype about regular dodge neons and yes they are as slow as your accord.

meh i dont have a problem with em, cause i'd get one. just kinda weird that my stock accord kept up with their riced out cars. but then again they prolly just did something to have it sound good.
okay here's what you do, take an older model neon. Slap in a SRT-4 motor and you're good to go. Good for mid to low 13 sec 1/4 mile. Yes it's been done before, on many occasions
my sohc 1st gen neon would walk all over a zc dohc swap 91 civic hatch but yes they do break all the time they r ugly and shit cost to much for them compared to other cars
