    Default P1381..

    Wassup all,

ok I have a 98 Civic ex with a JDM B16A (came off a 00 Si) swap on the 00 si harness. I running it with 97 Integra GSR ECU (w/ Spoon chip) and GSR tranny. Im trying to pass these wackass emissions put you can't pass with the CEL on..

The only code I'm getting is the "%&$^#&#$" P1381 (CYP Sensor Intermittent Interruption)
But yea the sensor and ECU are fine.

I've called around to manufacturers that knew something more than a part number and someone said I simply needed to swap the "chipped" ECU with a stock 98 MT ex ecu and the code will dissapear. I did that and no effect, I drove around a little bit and same ol P1381 comes up.

I made sure to replace my plugs and wires with new ones and made sure the gapping was right. Changed the oil and Manual transaxle lubricant (no metal flaking or contamination I could tell). Still have the damn code.

Anyone know what other steps I can take to get rid of this code? (We all need to pass emissions someday right ..if only I lived in bartow)

    Thanks

damn couldnt find an answer regarding my code bro..
A lot of great info tho.
The only thing there was the troubleshooting CYP sensor diagram, but my CYP sensor is fine..

I think the problem lies somewhere in the distributor... Already replaced the distributor cap, rotor and ignition coil and still have the damn code..

    But thanks for the info

    yep thanks..

but no worries cuase I have one of those little OBD2 readers.
Damn met up with a friend at a dealer and he said the code will remain as long as I run the B16A with the GSR ecu and distributor..said I need to swap the ecu and distributor for the one specifically from the 2000 civic si.

    ..fuck
