redline theres something wrong with it alright i have one myself, slow as balls unless ure willin to drop a shitton of money, motor is n/a versus a turbo ina gst/gsx, getta gsx if u can find it, its awd, even if u boost the 420 motor they still tend to suck mines been boosted and still went nowhere sell the car find a gst/x and have a platfrom worth building on

sell it for a gst or gsx, but if you really want to keep your RS and boost it, the best thing is to get a srt4 motor and do that motor swap, cause right now you have 420a(mitsu code) motor which is really a dodge neon motor.

Agree w/everyone else sell it and buy a 1st or 2nd gen GST or GSX. I think in the first gen it was called a GS for the front wheel drive turbo cars?

youll go nowhere fast w/ the RS... i have one and im pumpin out like 150 to the wheels with basic bolt ons and valvetrain upgrades... money pit and not worth it. unless you boost, (which isn't worth it...) then youll be second best to the gs-t and gsx.

Yes, it is possible to do an engine swap. But do not let anyone talk you into doing it. From what I've heard, it is a big PITA and a huge money pit. Like everyone said, your best bet is to buy a factory 4g63 powered DSM.

you need to sell that thing fast. your not driving an eclipse. your driving an eclipse body with the motor that they also put in the neon!!!1 its a piece of shit motor and is not worth the time or money when you can get gst for next to nothing these days. i got a buddy with one of those motors boosted and hes only puttin down like 175 to the wheels and has all kinds of probs!!!

Am I too far off base to compare this to Lancer owners who think their car has a future because the Evolution is fast?

    2 completely different platforms.

4g63t awd eclipse is a completely different car than an RS.

Evolution is a completely different car from the Lancer. Different chassis, engine, drivetrain, everything.

Nah man I was agreeing with. You were saying they are nothing alike, and it has the shit motor. I was saying RS owners, like Lancer owners, think that just because their car comes in a fast edition, that theirs is somehow fast and awesome.
