I was looking at getting either a 1992-1995 BMW 325i or a picking up a friend's Jetta Trek 3. I was just wondering which car would be best to pick up for my first tuner. I was also considering an Audi A4 (I like my Euros), but I heard the gas mileage on those things are shit.

Now I know that I'll be getting a lot more power from the Bimmer, but I'm kind of worried about people trying to jack my car once I get into college. There's that and the fact that I heard that the MPG on Bimmers isn't all that high. My friend's Jetta is a 4 cylinder with a lot of block space in it but I heard Volkswagons tend to fall apart.

what college are you going to?! ..i don't think anyone wants to steal a 1992 bimmer ..but as far my experience goes with audi/vw..it's sux dude!..alotta electrical problems..but i think you'll have more problems (electrically) gettin a euro then a jap. but hey if you must get your euro..get a euro..just my

I will get a 1993 just coz the engine is better, VANOS kicks ass. My 325 used to give me 23mpg city driving and 27mpg hwy. but I always keep my engines running like a clock. Not a fan of VW but I heard they are good in gas.
