Crappy OEM tach! anyone else?

So i have a 02 maxima SE 6 speed. The factory tach is pretty shitty, it seems to sometimes lag behind, or surge ahead. It is never way off, its just not on point. I know other 5th gen maxima owners have the same complaint....

Wondering about other manual trans nissans having same thing???

Never had a problem with any of mine. The infinitis or 240s. I had an old 89 xe coupe 240 with Heads up thats was laggy but whose isnt. Maybe your clutch is slipping and you cant feel it badly or hear it. Just enough to make the tach slip.

Nah definitely not the clutch.... all 5.5 gen 6 speed maximas do it, it is a common complaint on maxima.org. Just wondering about other nissans.
