Default Need help with headunit install.

I just installed a headunit into a 96 civic lx. I took the harness from the nre headunit and cut it and color matched all the wires. The radio does not turn on for some reason, it is not getting power. What could I be looking at?

what do u mean u cut it and color matched the wires. the harness that is on the back of your new radio does NOT match the wires to your car. there is a wire harness u buy at any car place so that u attach it to the cars harness and then the wires match up with the am hu. if im reading this wrong and thats what u did, the hu probably has its own fuse, check that, as well the power wire for the hu has an inline fuse, check that. also make sure the ground wire is hooked up with a good conection

poss fuxord head unit if you were hoping color matching wires would do the trick. every manufacturer and every model differs.

did you look at the manual regarding power, ground, speaker, etc? you should just get a harness that will allow you to plug it into your factory harness.

I got it. After close inspecting it, I realized it was a fuse in under the hood. Everything else was done right. Thanks for the help guys.
