I vote for tein. Aren't omnipowers knock offs? And i've heard of some of thier other products, like their Clutch Master Cylinder breaking.
i chose TEIN because of the quality of their products and the adjustability
i have heard of some problems with OMNI Power but i still want some for my DB1
I personally, vote for TEin because I have had them before.
because tein has alot more experience backing them, while omni makes great products, i wouldnt mind having a set of their itbs, i feel tein it more of a performance choice as you can get a coilover set for whatever you plan on doing, ie daily driving, drifting, circuit etc.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my Omnipower coilovers. I have the full coilover setup that is a basic nonadjustable setup. I know of several people that have swapped from more expensive setups to the omni's simply because of their performance. The new fully adjustable coilovers takes the quality of the originals a little further since they can be adjusted for comp/rebound. If you have ever held the omnis in your hand, examined them, and ridden them quality would absolutely not be a concern. Vteckidd can get a really good deal on both the full coil and the adjustables.
well with money not a factor obviously for their adjustability and wide range of selection the tein would be what most people would choose, along with that cool little shock guy mascot. lol. I think the price is what makes the omnipower a good alternative for those of us not on unlimited budgets but trying to get the best performance/dollar ratio. When you throw out price hell I'd rather have a set of Ohlins coilovers or Penske coilovers. If you're balling like that fuck the small stuff like tein, go all out. For someone who is weighing whether to buy Omnipowers, intake manifold, and throttle body or spend the dough on Tein's alone I would whole heartedly say go with the Omni's and the other parts that will get you to your ultimate goal. If you say, I have a perfect engine, drivetrain, chassis and all I lack is a suspension setup to have exactly what I want and you have the money then by all means get the tein. I know I've rambled a bit but I hope my point ahs been made.
Thanks man for "rambling on" it did help. +1 for you.Originally Posted by 99SI

That's what I'm thinking.Originally Posted by bigdare23
stay away from the omnipowers if u have a CRX, put them on my 88 crx, even at the lowest setting the car wasn't even lowered maybe an 1" and they also are way to stiff for daily driving, Stick with the Teins
its because you had the "bad set" . They fucked up the geometry of the EF shock heights. If you adjust the strut to its smallest length and hold it up to a STOCK EF strut its actually longer, hence why it wont lower it. If you have them contact omni and they will switch them out for the CORRECT ones.Originally Posted by JDM-95-Hatch
If price is not a factor, TEIN. I have owned both, as far as quality an adjustability, TEIN is far superior, but $500-1500 more depending on what you want.
My GFs itr has Tein RAs and they were $1540 shipped. The omnis are $1000 shipped, but the Teins have FAR more adjustability . but hers is a TRACK car. so she wanted the widest spectrum possible.
Now, you need to ask yourself how often are you going to adjust your suspension. if you are driving a street car that will rarely need to be adjusted, the regular omnis are fine. If you want to SCCA or NASA then i would do TEIN

You dont need all the adjustability that a true coilover offers, unless you plan on attending alot of track days.
To really setup coilovers right its going to cost you alot of money for an alignment and corner weighting.

If you don't know that there are DIFFERENT models priced competively, you're an idiot.
For street use, where price is not a problem, TEIN is the undisputed king.
