    Default ecu help please.....

m not familiar w/ h series ecu's or really honda ecu's in general, never had to deal w/ them....but i have a friend who has a obd2 accord that just recently had a h22 swapped into it....my questions are as follows...

currently the car is running on the stock f-series ecu

the shop that installed the swap and bought the swap for him isnt very intelligent, they told him its a from a 96 prelude, he seems to think from etching on the motor that its possibly from a 94....how can he tell the difference?

he needs the correct ecu for this application...so if the motors a obd2 motor which should he go for? same thing if its an obd1 motor......

    any help is appreciated

    if it's obd2 motor in obd2 car get a obd2-1 conversion harness ("a" if it's 96-98, "b" if it's 99-00) and a socketed/chipped ecu w/ tuning. or get an obd2 p13.

if the motor is obd1 then the crank pos sensor and dist is different than the obd2 if i remember correctly and it'll throw codes. if his f-series isn't throwing codes for that then it's probably an obd2 motor.

if you need a socketed/chipped ecu and tuning, let me know.
