Has anyone seen the Nissan Pulsar GTI-R engine fit into a Civic? I've seen it fit into a 200sx and by guessing I would say that yes it can fit, but I need proof before I purchase an engine.

why the fuck would you do that?? one of my old aquaintances(sp) has one in his 200 ser and its fast as fuck but why??
please learn what motor is in it - sr20.
you living in the fast and the furious "these dudes are building three civics with sr20s....." hahaha

lololol. exactly what i was thinking earlier but i didnt want to be mean. for the money it would take to do that swap you could have a nice gsr swap with many extrasOriginally Posted by ECMgarrett
I know what motor is in it, don't tell me what I need to learn. Does your friend go by the name of Matt? I've been in his before, fast as hell. I'm sure the custom fabrication wouldn't be too hard or expensive and that engine I believe puts out maybe 230 hp? Knock the socks off a GSR swap..
Engine itself is only about 2 grand..
yeah. matt. only his has close to 400 hp and hes got ALOT more than 2k into it....good luck though.
and what tranny do you propose to use to hold the power?? are you going ot build it?? why not just buy a 200sx and swap that??
Yea, I remember when he had his old engine in it and even then he had tons of money invested. I can't seem to get in contact with him, he's not on myspace or on here. Hmm?
hes on here, just very rarely. he still goes to the medlock meets. i can get his number if you need it. he blew that fucker up ike 3 times before the sr swap.
That 200sx was slow. He was claiming 300 something when I busted his ass on the highway in my 240 when it had the t25.Originally Posted by b18hatch

And yeah don't put that shit in your Honda. It will never run again.

I wouldn't mind doing the swap into a 200sx, but the car itself feels cheap.

And admin, dont be that guy. I'm not saying be like everybody else. Do whatever. Buy a sentra and swap it. But how much do you or this guy know about the motor chassis and fabrication neccessary to make it work?
I had an avanier motor in my g20, a type x in my 240, been around the motors for years. They are a different beast than a normal sr swap even in a b/p chassis.
i dont know when you raced him last but he actually has ALOT of shit done to it. its a quick ass car though, just maybe not the best driver....lol...i think his name on here is hotnissanboy or something. thats his sn on most forums.Originally Posted by 1439/2000

He would remember my old car.
for the custom fab work to get it all in the car and working you could just do a boosted B-series and make a lot more power with less hassle.
engine swaps like that just don't work well unless you plan on making your own everything and it's solely a race car. you'd likely need to run a full set of aftermarket gauges due to the nissan ECU/sensors not working with the honda stuff, of course the custom work to get the engine even in the car (plenty of relocation and cutting/welding/fabrication), i'm sure custom axles, custom exhaust, a whole lot of time with wiring diagrams trying to make various functions work, etc. when you're done you have a stock ass motor in the car with no extras.
of course it'll go in the 200sx, it's the same engine platform as the pulsar so it's a bolt-in affair on that car.
ya if you drive a honda and your not running a bseries or kseries your just stupidthe amount of power that can be made on those motors is amazing

lol he hasn't been to medlock in weekkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkks. and hes rarely on here. but cool guy none the less.
Whats his name on here?
NO!
Honda - Good
GTi thing - Bad
i wouldnt refer to a pulsar as being "bad" they are very very potent cars, you sound like a honda ricer by saying stuff like that, research more about other carsOriginally Posted by HerSideKick

top gear drove the fastest accelerating car in europe...was a Pulsar GTi-R with around 450-500awhp. it was amazing. complete street missle!!!

sr20s are stupid motors.
They don't make much power at all.
And anyone who would swap an sr20det into a sentra is just wasting their money...

Speaking of wasting money on sentras. Is yours going to be running for the showdown?Originally Posted by HalfBaked

does that strike anyone else as odd?
"...I'm a thief, I'm a liar, There's my church, I sing in the choir..."
^? well I've already realized its not worth the hassle, oh well. I think I'd rather drive a prelude or an integra than drive a 200sx with a swapped sr20det in it. Although the power is less, the quality is much better..
^^^key point of this entire thread is for the money you would drop into a swap such as that, you can have a proven swap with reliability and cost alot less
You know he can make 300whp on a stock gti-r motor tho right?
and for the same price you can build a 300 hp b series too
Yea, build.
That is the key word.
gti-r you'd just need a boost controller and a tune and maybe upgrade some fuel and maf.
and the point is?? lol, when you break something, youll have to build custom axles and shit. its not like its a bolt in affair
*edit cause half baked beat me to it*
all the stock gtir stuff is good for 300whp, even the gay nissan mafs. the sr stuff doesnt break at 300whp, the sr stuff doesnt break at 500whp. i dont know about the fwd trans (cause fwd is the suck) but i've seen stock sr blocks take 550whp and 22 psi.
"...I'm a thief, I'm a liar, There's my church, I sing in the choir..."
Why do you have to buy custom axles if you break things?
Why not just replace what you broke...
While ya, you'd need custom axles for the swap, chances are if you are getting custom axles you won't get cheap ass axles.
I mean hell people put ls1s in cars that have import motors...
I'd like to see a civic with a gtir motor.
Actually, I'd just like to see this guy buy a gtir try to do the swap then realize he can't and sell me the motor cheap.
i got dibs on the turbo and injectorsOriginally Posted by HalfBaked

and show me a complete gti-r swap with the fuel system shit and extras you need and the tuning cheaper than a 300 hp b series and you got a deal
I made 300whp on my avenir motor...similar to gti-r but with smaller turbo, smaller injectors stock, and I don't have ITBs.Originally Posted by b18hatch

There, $3600 and I was making 300whp and that was on my t25. You can make that on a t28 that the gti-r comes with as well.
According to jarco's website, their b16s and b18s can cost as much as $3600...
Hmmmm.
