    Default heater core leak

hey, So the heater core was leaking so i took it out but instead of putting in a new one I decided to "loop" it , I went to home depot and they didnt have any copper U's that would fit , they had 1/2 and 3/4 but the thing i need has to fit over a 1/2 copper wire so that did no good. then i looked around and found a rubber hose that seemed to fit perfectly. I got it along with 2 clamps and put it in the space of the in and out where the heater core goes. I test drove it and after the coolent started to flow it started to leak out of the beggining of the hose where the copper and the hose first connect. It wasnt leaking out the other end tho.Im guessing I need to weld the copper wires , but I dont know how or where to get it done. Maybe theeres another way to do it I dunno. Ne one have ne suggestions?
