    Default CRX keeps sputtering. HELP

    I have a 89 Crx Dx. It cranks and idles fine but when you accelerate it starts to sputter and dies. It didnt always do it but then it started doing it more and more often until finally I couldnt drive it two miles without it sputtering and dieing and not cranking again. I thought it may be the main relay so I replaced it. It did crank but still sputters and dies. The altenator and battery are fine too. Please give me some advice.

    Also I have new spark plugs and wires. Just to let you tech guys know

    check your fuel delivery (fuel pump, injectors, etc.). Other than that, make sure you're getting spark.

    I'd think the timing was ok since it wasn't immediately sputtering....it's gradually getting worse, so find something that's variable (i.e. fuel delivery)

    well i had a similiar problem, but mine was due to back pressure from a clogged cat convertor
