When you do a engine swap, like I'm bout done putting a B16a in my 93 civic ex, what intake do I use on it. Would my old intake off my d16z6 work or what?

Why do folks usually ask? Cause they don't know right? Yea well I didn't know obviously so I asked. Don't come on my thread being an ass, just answer the question or don't, not that hard. Thanks.
Anywayz, which intake do I have to buy for it or do I have to have one custom made?

hmm...which intake do you buy for a b16a...how about....a b series intake....cause you know when you buy an intake, on teh box it says what its for....so if you see " for b series" or " for b16 " ...then thats what you use.

b16 or b18c5 (itr) will will work.
did it ever occur to you the route of the b16 may not be the same as in my car? yea if i buy a b16 it will hook up the engine right duh, but the route may not be the same so it might not exit the engine bay the same.......thats why I asked, i'm not an idiot, but thanks for your help anywayzOriginally Posted by B16a2 Civic
so an intake from either a b16 or a b18c5 will have the right fitment and route correct?

can't guarantee that but it's the only one that will fit the head so it doesn't really matter. Wait a minute....intake as in just an intake, not an intake manifold? If that's the case then just throw anything on there...dryer hose and a sock, it doesn't matter...naw...just use a regular short ram....you're not planning to go to an oem box and filter are you?Originally Posted by 93dituneex
nah I have the cold air intake i had on my d16 and I was wondering if at all possible I could use that on my b16, i didn't think so because of the throttle body sizes but was wondering anywayz

see, you never asked will fitment be a problem, you asked what intake do you use, and i as well as speedminded informed you what intakes will work...but to answer your question, no your d series intake will not work on a b series motor, and if you think fitment will be an issue, get a short ram, you will have no fitment issues.

it probably won't fit but you can always make a little conversion/connector piece using a 6" long piece of hose that will fit over both the throttle body and your d16 intake.Originally Posted by 93dituneex
well i got my car back and tried to ghetto fit my intake on but it wouldn't stay on so i guess i need to grab a short ram or stock one asap.....thanks for the help guys and sorry b16 for getting an attitude i was out of line..
