Default check engine light- 02 civic si

    Hey guys, quick question:

my civic is throwin a check engine light- when i had my prelude i used to check the code the ghetto way by using a paperclip and inserting it into a certain plug... whats the easiest way to do this in my 02 civic if possible?

    holler back- thanks

Go to autozone and ask them to scan it...fo' free. The plug you're talking about with the paperclip is differant than the obd2 scanner plug...you jump it and it makes the check engine light flash the code then you have to look up the corresponding number...it's easier just to run the scanner and it will tell you exactly what the code is.
