Extrude Honing / Port and Polishing
A friend of mine picked up an '89 MR2 with a blown motor and he's allowing me to take whatever parts I want to off the engine before he scraps it. I'm taking the intake manifold, head and cam covers, but I was wondering if there are any local shops that could extrude hone the intake manifold, and hot tank/ port and polish the head? Also how much does this usually cost, and are the gains made enough to warrant the cost of doing so?
a good hone is always good. but i cant make a call on the P&P. i was told if its not really a race motor the gains u get r not worth what you pay. I didn even bother with it on my SR.
