    Default maintenance required

hey i have a stupid question and i hope someone can answer it. I have never owned a honda before and i was looking at some and i noticed on a 1996 honda civic ex i was looking at there was a little viewfinder like thing under the odometer on the speedometer and written next to it said "maintenance required." I was wonder what it was and what color its supposed to be and how to reset it? Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!

That I don't know. Probably mileage. Its one of those things they put in the car to make you panic and get maintenanced for $100+

Bro it means nothing. That light is always on in most honda motor vehicles, and I would regard it as useless.
