Default Grimspeed manual boost controller install

OKay guys Below are some pictures of how I have the boost controleer set up. It is a grimspeed and they state that you connect the turbo to the bottom of it and the wastegate on the side. I did that and the car was stuck on 8psi no matter how high or low I would turn it. I decided to flip the lines and it now works. Only problem is that it'll hit 16 psi sometimes sometimes it wont. It's like is unstable or not hooked up correctly. Here are some pics of the install. Can anyone catch anything?

What you see in the top left is the boost controller... The line that you see coming down behind the filter is connected to the turbo... the line going back toward the wastegate connected to that t fitting is the one that is on the left, or bottom in the next pic.... The other line is connected straight to the MBC on the bottom/inlet where Grimspeed says the turbo is suppose to be hooked up... but when I flip the lines on the MBC the way Grimspeed says on the MBC car stays stuck on 8 psi... Any help?

you dont use the top port for manual boost controllers. Only the bottom port.
