Try charging the phone or replacing the batteries. If that fails, we sell some pretty cheap Vtech phones at BestBuy... in case you need a replacement.

lol, but yeh have you tried checking your oil level? what ecu are you running? maybe your vtec solenoid isn't holding enough pressure.Originally Posted by vteckidd
Is it "lift electronic" or "electronic lift"?Originally Posted by vteckidd
my oil level is good... im not completely sure what ecu im runnin b/c i just bought the car... and i dunno bout the vtec solenoid
look at the top of the ecu located on the passenger side by your right footOriginally Posted by 94LSEG
if you're not running an o2 sensor and a cel is on...you have a few issues to work on first. have you checked codes?

c5 runs good on a p72? isn't it going to throw a code because of the butterflies?Originally Posted by speedminded
no it didn't run as good as now..it just kicked in really hard for some reason (no CEL at all)...maybe just because it was at the wrong engagement point for the cam lobes. I got a P73 about a month later and the engagement was so much smoother, it's still a big change though.Originally Posted by krucial7integra
check and see if the vtec solenoid has btw 14-30 ohm resistance... or do the click test

I gotcha, the way I read your post previously was that you wanted to chip an obd2a ecu from a 96. That's why I posted what I said. Just wanted to make sure you weren't going to go on a never ending search to find out how to chip an obd2 ecu!![]()
....that's exactly why i asked OBD1 or II tooOriginally Posted by 99SI

lol, sorry for the confusion, but yeh that was my plan but wondering would that fail emissions?Originally Posted by 99SI
btw, I run a chipped p28 obd2-obd1 conversion in my car. I haven't had any problems whatsoever.
hmm.. i dont know much about VTEC or hondas alone, but could it be like the 2zzge engine problem?.. the lift bolts were wearing down?

^^^absolutely! As long as you have a catalytic converter and can put back on the stock obd2 ecu w/o pulling a CEL then you won't have a problem. The emissions test just plugs into the obd port and reads the ecu, if you are not pulling a code then you will pass, if you are pulling a code then you won't pass. My car wouldn't pass even if I hooked my stock ecu back up b/c I have no cat and a 2.5 inch header back exhaust, not to mention a few other things that would cause a CEL!

sounds kinda complicated but good thing emissions is only once a year
if engine is cold, you will not be allowed to hit vtec, i learned that on a honda odyssey and a new TL
if your oil levels are not on par same thing, dont keep doing it if you can get vtec activated, you probably are damaging your engine cause something worng with it, IMO
he already checked it, I think his vtec solenoid isn't holdin enough pressure, or should check his ecu to see what he's running.Originally Posted by redx
