Alignment Question

So I got new tires on my car and the wheels are balanced. I need at alignment done, but I also ordered shocks for my car and will be coming in the mail in 2 weeks. My question is should I wait until I get my shocks and do it then? Or get the alignment done now?....One more thing Im driving to Savannah this weekend will the drive affect my tires wear or thread? Thanks

Assuming you're driving a Honda with double wishbone suspension, if you align it now, you'll have to align it again after you lower it if you want it perfect.

I would say wait and lower and align it when you get back from the trip, otherwise you'll start tearin your tires up
