    Default problems with my accord...

i got a 99 honda accord, it's an automatic, and every time i start to take off, it sounds like as if i were driving a stick shift and missing a gear. it sounds like it doesn't catch second gear. any suggestions on what i can do? is it okay to keep driving it like that?

the last place was a place called m & m transmission.
i can't remember the place before that...
i just remember having it changed, because that was thought to be the problem!

do i have to replace it with the same kind of tranny?

i want a 5 speed. but i don't think it would be worth it, atleast not in that car...

i was talking about the actual transmission, could i put a different kind in? i wouldn't want to put the same kind in. it's been doing it since i bought the car. it only had 15000 miles on it when i bought it, it has 88000 now.

If u have a 4 cyl accord any H series(h23,h22) auto transmission might bolt on..I don't know whether u have to change the ECU though.

    15 mpg for a 4cyl?
there's must be somethin wrong there.
My 5th gen accord that I used to have have abt 30-35 mpg on the highway. That's with I/h/e of course, but 15 mpg is way too low.......and putting h series tranny will seriously kill ur mpg
