    Default 2006 Jetta 2.5 EGR VALVE LOCATION

    Due to a CEL, I need help locating the EGR Valve on a 2006 Jetta 2.5. I am going to try cleaning it out, and if that doesnt work I will replace it. Can someone post a engine diagram/how to?

    no egr valve. only diesels have an egr.

    gassers are called a kombi valve. located on the side of the head. looks like this:

    You're right - I have no idea what I'm talking about...

    will removing the kombi valve, and cleaning it with carb cleaner *maybe* do the trick of clearing the CEL?
