Thread: problem with idling (searched and could not find answer)

    Default need help cant solve

    i have a stock 96 civic dx 5 speed. car had code in it for bad tps and would jump around some times while in first or second so i changed tps now car will not idle right it goes up and down, so i changed iacv no change in performance is there a reset step that i missed

    do you still have a check engine light? to reset it you can just remove the negative terminal from the battery for a few seconds. if it does have a check engine light what code is it? did you adjust the tps to calibrate it after installation?
    Who knows?

    i cleared the code but the original code was tps circuit high input and no i didnt adjust the tps to calibrate it. how do you calibrate it
