    Default Ecu not registering

ok i have a big problem and need somehelp.
Ok i recently replaced myknock sensor and every thing was working fine but then my check engine light came back on. So i took it to autozone so they could read the code. After that i found out i had a bad tps ( throttle position sensor) So i just replaced that about a week ago. Idrove it about 200 miles and no check engine light came on. So i took my car to the emmisions place to get tested but when he hooked it up to the machine every thiing was registering not ready could this mean i have a bad ecu?

a bad ecu and the car usually won't start, but it could be on the way going bad but i don't know if it's all or none on the ecu's i mean it is electronics.
