Cool Blown H22A4 so i got my hand on a JDM H23A

So i was driving home on Saturday when my car just turned on me, so once i got it towed home i started checking everything. I had spark and and fuel so i went to the compression test and there lied the problem. Cylinders 3 & 4 and 25 psi so i didn't even go any further. I had happened to know someone with a front clip form an Accord Sir and I bought the H23A DOHC Vtec motor from him. I cant wait to put this engine in my car. I will post pick tonight of the process

The powerband is completely different...it was in a eg hatch tho. I went from h22a to h23a. First gear broke loose in vtec everytime. Its alot more torqy.

i would...and a nice upgraded clutch. get a hondats IM gasket. They come with a nice factory port on the intake side. keep it breathing good and you will be happy as hell. Also this motor loves a 3" exhaust. Get a tune as well. Should be just above 200 whp with that.

It was my old car...Scotty tuned on chrome pro. IM gasket just keeps the IM a few degrees cooler and optimizes that factory port that wasn't there on the h22.

on the intake side of the head. Its the same head as the h22a but honda put a factory porting on the openings to where the intae valves are. They basically opened up the head a little more than the h22a
