    Default Ford Motor help

    Will a ford 4.9L6 300 get better fuel mileage then a 7.5V8 460 ?

    I know a 4.0 in a newer ranger dranks more than a 4.6 and some 5.0 engines...

    The 300's manage decent mileage, I've been able to get around 20 out of my beater truck taking it fairly easy.


    A 460 will pass everything on the road but a gas station.

    yeah lol and do you know if a 1982 4.9 300 is carb or injected ?

    82 I believe is still carb'd.
