    Default can you turbo a carburated truck?

    i got a 1985 s-10 blazer with a 2.8L carb engine.

    Thought it would be a origional idea.

    it's not original, but it can be done.

    it's a huge bitch to tune the carb, and depending on whether you're going to run the carb blow through or draw through you need a special carb any way.

    oh, and the 2.8's are kinda dumpy motors. for the price of turboing that thing and making it stay in one piece it would be better to just swap a 350 in there and call it done.

    lol possibly adress the problem of coolant leaking on your passenger's feet as well

    Drop a 350 SBC in it with a TH350 tranny.

    Think about early turbo regals they were turbo carb'd and non intercooled.

    Garbage mainly but can be done.

    it can be done when I had my 1st gen crx it was carbed and I looked at turbos people on www.redpepperracing.com do it. search there were some good sites with turbo carb info.
