    Default Coupler keeps blowing off

The coupler on my cold side of my intercooler keeps blowing off at full boost. It's help on with a t bolt clamp, and its a straight coupler. I've tried tightening it down by hand as much as possible but it keeps happening.

What else can I do to keep it on? anything?

use two of the types you have to tighten with a flat head or a wrench......that shoild keep it on nice and tight. and make sure it not on the ridge and its fully seated as far back as possible

I have read that the metal in the clamps can expand in high temperatures, effectively loosening and causing the coupler to blow off. I searched on google for high temperature resistant ones and found these:

Bead roll it, or flare the end of the piece of pipe w/ pliers so that it cant slide when tightened.

yep i am installing an intercooler now, I was told too that the ends need to be bead rolled. If it's just a piece of pipe it's going to slide right off

but really use something like a 3m spray glue (light coat) i've even seen people use hair spray. then tighten it down good and you shouldn't have a problem

^yep but sand the area down first too gives it a better surface to grab to... And If u still have a problem with hair spray use some gasket maker(permatex), but sand it first no matter what cause most pipes are chrome and smooth....

I have used hairspray. do not use 3M, it can get into piping and is needed on both surfaces, not just the pip. 3M has a hard time bonding to bellows

The pipe has a lip on it, but I may try to make it a bit more agressive so it will hold better.

I'll also try the hairspray Idea. But my pipes are powder coated, not chrome silly. lol
