on all e36's, the door panels suck, they squeak, crack and break. the headliner sucks, the power seats suck love to break, (don't put your knee on the passenger seat while cleaning your car or the airbag light will never go off) The on board cpu will always says "Coolant failure" until you put a paper clip in the end of the senser. the leather wears quick, speakers suck, unless you have harmen karden. The flashlight in the glove box, and tools in the trunk are always missing. Power window motors, regulators, and switches ALWAYS go bad, changing the starter is the hardest thing I've ever ran into on a car. If you ever have problems with the tail lamps, good luck, as the metal gasket crap is bs...the factory fog lights always fall out..the Auto transmission are shit, pure shit, made by GMC, AS IN CHEVROLET, yes..no lies, also the 318's (4 cyl) like the one pictured, LOVE, I mean absolutely love to blow headgaskets, it's like they look forward to doing it, waiting till the day before rent is due...

other than that they're great cars!! I love BMW's thats all I drive. But that thing will drive like a golf cart with 4 fat girls in it if you put "staggered 19's" on it. Good deal tho, I'll give you $1400...

shoot for a 325/328 of the same years if possible other than that the above post covered it.
