    Default Honda VTec and Chevy ETec!

    What is the difference? My Aveo has a 1.6 L E-Tec DOHC what is the difference between this and the honda 1.6 V-Tec?

    lol i thin etec is like economy and has nothing to do with cams at all like in vtec

    Google is your friend but..

    VTEC (standing for Variable valve Timing and lift Electronic Control) is a system developed by the car manufacturer Honda to improve the combustion efficiency of its internal combustion engines throughout the RPM range.

    E-Tec or Ecotec just simply means the engine is friendly to the environment, and easy on emissions.. has nothing to do with performance.

    Hey man just do a little research and you'll be okay, I didnt know anything about cars and performance a few years ago (not saying you dont) and I still consider myself to be a novice. Don't let anyone make you resent your ride, I proudly pushed a 95 corolla for years.. at least you can say you have a ride.
