    Default main relay clicking non-stop

I just swapped my 88 civic hatch from automatic to manual this week. I put a stock dual-point engine back into it. when I went to start it for the first time today, the main relay started clicking as soon as I turned the ignition switch on and it doesn't stop till I turn off the switch. And the car wont start. I am using the stock engine harness, and I got a pm5 manual ecu with my manual swap. the ecu is good. the main relay is good.......but the car wont turn over. Any ideas?

eehhh had the same problem when I had my EJ, if I'm not wrong then you need to just replace it because it's going out if not already gone bad and your car will not start until you have a working Main Relay

but I mean if the Relay is good and everything is pinned right it should have started

Check the ground on the T-stat. If its loose and barely touching ground it might causing the relay to click rapidly.

The relay is working just fine its clicking that means its opening up , nothing wrong with it

take out the main relay and open it up. make sure their are no signs of moisture. had the same problem with mine. also make sure all your fuses are good under the dash. their is a fuze that is linked to main relay and it is displayed as something else. i want to say check fuse number 2 and 14. and if dose arnt it check all of them.

not sure but i think the movement of the dizzy and the actual cam gear is diffrent. hopefully some1 else can varify. but also if the dizzy is not properly aligned it will not crank, and make sure you put the dizzy on right. their isnt just one way of putting it. it should slide in easily, if it doesnt its not going in the right way

I would check the firing order its

    1 3 4 2

Sounds like a timing issue , if your getting enough fuel pressure and fire it has to crank unless the timing if off....

Do you have it at TDC #1 on the Compression Stroke when Sticking the Dizzy? If its firing on the exhaust Stroke it wont run
