Default F1 Racing Stage 2 Clutch Good or Not?

the clutch for my prelude is fixing to go out so I am planning and saving up for new clutch. Being a college student, money is hard to come around. So, I looked on ebay for some clutch kits and I found that F1 Racing is pretty cheap. Yea i've heard the saying you get what you pay for but I would like to ask you guys and girls if you had any experience with these clutch and if they're worth about 140 bucks. Oh and I got a friend said his friend would install my clutch for 100 dollars. Please give me some inputs. thanks

you could get set up at mainstream for nearly the same price, but with quality stuff.

I've done some reasearch and I heard the peddle seems to feel soft at first but then stiffens up. Some people have had good luck with them, others say they start slipping early. But then again, it depends if they broke them in or not properly.

you get what you pay for. since your car is still stock. just go with stock clutch from your auto store.
i have life time warranty on my clutch. im on my second one right now, you dont got to worry about it going out. take it back and they'll give you another one

It's taking 3k-7k miles for them to break in then. And when I say slipping, I am saying above 3k rpm they said they were shooting straight to redline. in every gear, it just kept getting worse and worse.

I am just going off the research I done on them. My word is in no way fact, just info I've gathered.

I have uses these clutchs in almost all my customers as the price ....And I never had any come backs nor problems slipping..... From kids that doggs out their cars, to old folks, to guys using in trucks pulling.....No issues as I stated....Get it and enjoy!

But When it comes to money its worth it, but if money is no option then buy something alittle more if you want....

hmmm interesting.... i had the same urge to buy 1 when i replaced mine but i didnt want to go cheap on a clutch. my friend got 1 for his del sol and to my knowledge he didnt have any probs but like was said its up to you.
i agree with the post about getting 1 from the auto parts! lifetime warranty, what else could you ask for.
or you could post up a WTB thread and wait for some1 to msg you.

for the price of the clutch they are actually decent, i wouldn't put gobs of torque on them.
