V.W. Passat 1.8t Engine Sludge :(

the shop is going to do a flushing with a machine that hooks up to where the oil filter goes. assuming this does not work out... how can i rectify the sludge and low oil psi once its back in my possession. Is there a cure for this coking effect?

Try the above, you can also flush it with Kerosene if the car is not started. That is risky though. Usually the flush by machine method works pretty well. IIRC, there is an Audi filter that you can use that holds about an additional 1/2 quart.
