    Default speedometer question(91 hatch)

ok so i replaced the speedo cable and got the speedometer to work. now what it does is jump back and forth 5mph every couple seconds.

so lets say im driving at 40mph, it will jump to 35mph and back up.

    What could this be?

its a 89 CRX Si cluster

    any help is apreciated

It could be the cluster. Still got your old one? If so, hook it up and check.

Loose ground? Really? It has a cable, haha.

Re-check the connection of the cable into tranny and then cable into the back of the cluster, if it's still bad then try another cluster.
