    Default Head Swap....

    I'm not trying to sound "like an idiot" but ive heard from a buddy of mine that he thinks I could pull the head off an old skool 89' integra (I think it would be the dohc zc head) & put it on my dseries block....

    If this is the case has anyone ever done the swap & what all is needed to do this & will it work or not?

    Or is it a far fetched swap?

    well the answer is yes it will work, and no modds, easy to do......

    But still is a waste of time not much gains of power to make it worth wild

    such hostility.... i know ASE*Tech that ive got a SOHC D series motor.... its called a d16z6.... i just needed to know if the (DOHC) ZC head will work on my D series Block....

    IIRC the DOHC D16A1 (USDM 1.6l DOHC MOTOR found in the pre 90 integra) will swap to a SOHC block, but the benefit is almost nothing. YOu are better off doing a SOHC VTEC head, or swapping a SOHC ZC motor in.

    The DOHC ZC motor is NOT THE SAME as the PRE 90 INTEGRA MOTORS
