    Default B18B1 cylinder 1 probs

ok ran a comp test on the boosted ls and it is as follows 185-180-180-185

i thought it might be a valve or a bad ring but i guess the comp test revealed it wasnt

so at idle i have no fire in #1 and when i drive the car it is sluggish and sounds like a suby under 3000 rpm and a load. then once over that the other cylinder comes in and pulls fine,my question is could the dizzy make it come in and out like that or is it possibly a sensor

    any help will get green

So at idle if you've got no spark only on cyl #1, youve got an issue with a spark plug, plug wire, or dist cap. Go ahead and do a tune up of your ignition system... replace the dist cap & rotor, and throw on a set of NGK Plugs and NGK Spark plug wires.

test for spark from the plugs back. test the plugs then the wires then at the dizzy. if u have no spark at the dizzy check the cap and button. still no spark i would say u have a bad pickup.

I suppose its possible but ive never seen a distributor itself cause a misfire only on one cylinder.

so i went and changed the plugs(AGAIN)lol and its the same deal so i went to see if its still comin in and out of 3 and 4 and know it seems to only be runnin on 2 while drivin.....i pulled the wires to see how good the spark is and to me it seems real weak you almost have to put the wire completely down on the metal to see spark

If its on more than one cyl that you're experiencing weak spark, then most likely the coil or pickup in your dist is bad.

100% sure on no spark? if so then you have already ruled out the possibility of a bad injector i hope... but as said before, check plug, wire, cap etc...
