    Default climate control help

ok, problem is the cabin blower fan will only kick on when you put it on 3 or higher speed. I thought that it was an issue with the panal itself, so i swapped that out, and guess what, still only turns on when you select 3 or higher. Checked all fuses, thats ok, anyone think this sounds like an issue with actual blower motor??? That does not make much sense to me, but like i said, i swapped out entire climate control unit out of dash, and it still has same problem. Im out of ideas besides the motor at this point

maybe you didn't wire everything back correctly when you replaced it?

Sounds like you need to replace the resistor. That sounds a lot like what happens in the E36.

there is a resistor pack for the blower motor, its got a plug in it, and two screws... that is more than likely your problem

is it located on the motor itself? like i said in the OP, this is the second actual control unit in the car and it is still doing it, so it has to be somthing after the control unit in the dash

its behind the glove box, on top of all the plastic stuff, you will see it.. unless you replaced everything i doubt you changed it.
