    Default painting rims?

How much can I expect to pay for a set of rims to be painted matte/flat black? they are just simple 5 spoke alloy (i think) rims

like the other people said, just do it your self. Probably save a few hundred too. ive painted a lot of my rims with the "good" paint from autozone and loved the results. no drips, no peeling, etc..

lol 4 cans of paint, a can of prep spray, 2 cans of primer, 2 cans of top coat, an assortment pack of sandpaper, and a $10/hr mexican to help you sand them down

just do them your self, its alot cheaper and easier. with supplies and all, probably cost you less than $30 (buying spray can paint [the good kind, Autozone, adv. Auto, Pepboys should have some). then get some masking tape and pack of note cards. insert the note cards in the creases between the rim and tire.tape it good altogether. then paint. (make sure you prep the rims b4 hand). Goodluck.

I didn't even bother taping mine when I did it. I was just screwing around to see how they would look. Cheap brake pads were throwing up dust like crazy. Painted the black with some spray I got at Autozone and they look great. Tire soaked up the paint lol. I don't know what it would do with other colors though. It costed me $30 and hasn't come off in the year I've had them.
