    Default D15b7 timing probs/backfiring/idling weird.

    any help
    Swapped out head gasket and put everything back together and this is wat it sounds like after

    timing belt isn't in time, and the valves sound like their way out of adjustment...

    got any CEL ?

    You should just check your timing. Probably would of had it running properly already.

    timing out or plug wires wrong. if that's fine then compression test.

    I tried Top Dead Center and lined up to the marks. Could It be 1 tooth off maybe? Any advice or special tutorial on this wood really be great.

    yea and make sure you have all the plug sensors in the right spot.

    okay. take the vc off. manually turn the motor till its at tdc according to the crank pulley (assuming its a stock pulley). look at the cam sprocket. there should the "up" indicator at the top. there are two horizontal lines, on on each side of the sprocket. take a ruler or straightedge and make sure they are perfectly lined up with the head surface. if they do, you have the timing correct. if not, take belt back off and adjust.
