    Exclamation 96 civic/ tranny promblems....

    alright. so heres what i got. my fiance has a 1996 honda civic. its the d16 motor and it has an automatic transmission. the trans keeps going in and out of overdrive. transmissons are really not my strong area..... some info on this would be much appreciated!!!

    1-check fluid
    2-check for vacuum leak
    3-check sensors
    4-PM Barefoot...

    Might wanna do 4 first...

    I'd check the fluid before anything.

    When checking the fluid, it should be red, and not brown/black... Auto transmissions must have auto transmission fluid...

    travis has no luck with trannys! lol talon, sporttrack and now teh civic
