Default New struts not fitting damper forks so well

i saw the thread on the how to be slammed and i had a question. im not trying to slam my car but im installing new struts and i saw that a tip was pushing the damper further down on the strut to witch extended the size of the fork. well i had to do that to make my new struts fit on my em1 and it twicked the bottom part of the fork towhere i cant get the bottom bolt that goes through the fork and the lca. it's not even close. any ideas?
    Thanks

i can post pics tomorrow if it would help anyone.

then you have the wrong forks. were the forks too SMALL for the shocks? or were they too BIG?

if too small, get forks from an integra

here's some pics you can see the gap where the bolt goes to tighten the fork to the strut and i had to get another bolt to make that work and hammer it in
