Does that make the vette chevy's answer to a civis as well? Civic was made as a cheap fuel economic car, the eclipse is a sports coupe. So you have an intake, headers, and a dual exhuast cat-back?? Now a) if your gonna do an exhuast then do the whole thing, it's a bottle neck theory, cat-back alone won't do shit and b) Why the fuck do you need dual exhuast on your 4banger? think your pushin out that much air that you need 2 pipes? You could have used the money spent on the dual cat-back, for ONE FULL exhuast system...or maybe for the family you talk so much about.

    why try to insult my car when you don't know me. that's not what the car looked when i bought it. that's a in process picture. the compnay had some shipping issues with fedex so i didn't have my side skirts.     Back on topic, anyways hit this site up www.club3g.com you can learn anything about the 3G eclipse. These cars can do low 11sec quarters w/ the right set up, and can look damn good.

    The motor is junk, they have a crappy power band, they are like 20 years old. I mean hell it is a 2 litre inline 6... Plus whenever someone mentions something shitty 240 kids expect me to mention the rb20 so now I just pretty much say it for shits and giggles.

    Hmm...interesting. I tuned one a few weeks back that made 350whp on 17psi on pump gas...It has a hell of a powerband, and infact, I'd put it up against most of the SR's Ive done. I guess time will tell how durable the motor is with a good tune. Im tuning another RB at Batlground on Tuesday, this time an RB25, so Im gonna overlay the graphs and see how they compare with similair setups. Should be interesting...

    3gs suck, a fast 3g is like a fast honda. How many hondas are in the 11s for real, even less 3gs.

    How many DSMs are in the 11s.....i lost count 4 years ago

    The 3G GT/GTS models come w/ a 6g/72 that has 210 stock horsepower. You hook up a SDS Ripp supercharge kit, a Ripp header, twin throttlebody manifold kit, cams, forged pistons,rods etc..., you can have over 400whp. The turbocharged 3G's can get over 330whp easily. The style of the Eclipse is not to shabby, but w/ all of the aftermarket kits availabe it's easy to the looks just as good.

    but for the price you buy a GT/GTS, you can get an AWD with decent mileage, the money you put in your SC and ll that jazz, a dsm will have 400+

    you cant compare

    Ok ok ok 3gs are ugly. I mean no matter what you do to a 1990 Plymouth Acclaim its still ugly. Ever heard of can't polish a turd? Same concept.

    Forged pistons and rods and have over 400 with a supercharged boat that weighs 7000 pounds doesnt sound like fast to me.

    With slicks on the front and probably stripped out you'd run 11's.

    With the previous dsm's you slap a big turbo on and (with all wheel drive) can run 11's with street tires. I'm just saying they dont compare at all.

    Are you serious?

    I don't talk about civic hatches or integras.

    If you want to see how slow your car is I'd be more then happy to let you see how much slower it is then a sentra.

    im not saying my car is a speed demon, i am just saying its deffinately enough power to get up and move i dont see why you guys cant understand that. Yea the car is 3050 pounds (only aboud 150 over an RSX), but its not like it is the slowest car ever. And as for the styling goes, I don't think mine looks all that bad....

    3G weighs right in at around 3200lbs +. The forged pistons and rods are there obviously for stronger internals under boost and higher horse power not really for gains. SDS Vortech supercharger kit, Ripp header, cams, double throttle body (holley) upgraded manifold kit, 3" piping catback etc... is what brings alot of that extra air for horsepower that just adds to the 210 horses that was already on the platform. Gutting out the car helps but that's not what gives it all the horses, but you can drop alot of extra weight. Where does 7000lbs come in ? The 3G can do 11's w/ street tires on a pair of Volks w/ this setup. I have hardly heard of 3G's running slicks on those boards but some do. Looks category well, i have heard loads of people talking about how schweet they look.

    210 hp v6 fwd vs 200 hp 2.0 awd. Stock for stock the 3g gets owned. Then put the same boltons on each other and it gets worse.

    Show me a 3g with Volks on street tires run an 11. Street tires are not radials either.

    well, 205 ft lbs of torque also.... what is the 2.0, like 150 or so?
