    Default w58 transmission question

    ok so really just needed to know how much power this transmission will handle before crapping out. cause im doing a 1jz swap and wanna make sure i dont tune it up to much until i get the r154.

    one of my w58's lasted 1 year and a half at 400 rwhp with a 50 shot. another one only lasted a week at 452 rwhp.

    I always told people that a good rule of thumb is 350whp. But even at that level anything can happen.

    thanks for the help ill have to keep the boost low till i get the r154 then.

    Sweet another cressida JZ swap... I had a w58 with the 2jz bellhousing, then found a deal and got a R154 cheap, so it got sold quick. I was staying stock twins so the w58 would last awhile.
